90-ton RTU Replacement

Service Unlimited, Inc. completed a 90-ton rooftop HVAC unit replacement on a tight turnaround, bringing together careful planning, close subcontractor coordination, and weekend work to make it happen. The project replaced an aging McQuay unit with a new Carrier rooftop system.

An installation of this scale requires precise coordination well before the equipment reaches the roof. Our team aligned the crane operation, equipment removal, installation preparations, and subcontractor schedules to keep the work moving through a demanding replacement window. Weekend work was an essential part of meeting the project’s schedule.

With the existing unit lifted off the roof, the crew positioned the new curb adapter and guided the replacement equipment into place. New sheet metal transitions connected the Carrier unit to the building’s existing ductwork, adapting the installation to the new equipment’s configuration.
