Fabric Duct System to Prevent Inventory Loss

Service Unlimited, Inc. brought air conditioning to a previously unconditioned factory with the installation of two 60-ton cooling-only packaged units and complete air distribution systems. Delivering a combined 120 tons of cooling, the project made a meaningful difference for employees, who welcomed a more comfortable environment in which to work. The factory maintained 100% production capacity throughout the installation. Accomplishing a project of this scale within an active manufacturing space required extensive coordination with the customer, detailed safety planning, and careful sequencing. Our team coordinated overhead work, equipment access, and installation activities around employees, machinery, and material movement to keep both the project and production moving. Outside, large sheet metal duct assemblies connected the packaged units to the building. Inside, insulated ductwork and fabric air distribution runs extended throughout the factory, bringing conditioned air to the production floor. The finished installation reflects the planning and craftsmanship needed to fit a complete cooling system around an established manufacturing operation. Recognized with an award through Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC), this project demonstrates SUI’s ability to accommodate demanding customer needs while delivering quality work within the required timeframe.
